roku has reached more than 100 million streaming homes worldwide, achieving a long-standing goal for the streaming and device company.
The company reached this milestone in April, after last announcing that it had reached more than 90 million streaming households by January 2025. Beyond those big announcements, Roku stopped providing quarterly updates on the metric, saying it preferred to focus on the platform’s revenue and profitability.

Roku has also been working to attract more users to its platform by introducing Howdy, a low-cost streaming platform. the company launched in August.
“Passing 100 million streaming households is a defining moment, not just for Roku, but for the future of television,” said Anthony Wood, founder and CEO of Roku. “We are helping to shape the entertainment landscape by making great content easier to discover, more affordable to watch, and more effective for advertisers and partners around the world to connect with audiences. We are deeply grateful to our viewers, teams, advertisers and partners for helping us reach this milestone. And as the shift to streaming continues to accelerate, we are more energized than ever to lead the evolution of television.”
